Top Ten Tuesday 3

12:31 PM

I went to the Chris Tomline concert last night in Peoria. It was awesome! My favorite part of the evening was when Louie Gigilio spoke about the Universe and how HUGELY gigantous it is. I love stuff like that, and it really put in perspective how very "small" we all are. If WE are small, so are our problems, struggles, and trials in which we usually try to blow up into a gigantic deal.... yet ultimately, we are here to worship Christ and bring glory to Him! Yes, we my be small, but we serve a BIG God, which is a BIG deal!

Aside from the great points, we had some great worship time in song, and even a little dancing!

While we're on the theme of music, Top Ten Tuesday #3 will gladly use that as it's topic. Here we have it, folks- the top ten music artistst/groups. I'll try to stay pretty diverse. As usual, no particular order.

1. Chris Tomlin (suprise)
2. Brad Paisley
3. Caedmon's Call
4. Norah Jones
5. Jack Johnson
6. Nickel Creek
7. Toby Mac
8. Dave Crowder Band
9. The Beatles
10. Rascal Flatts

Have fun. I love you all.

  5. Umm...aren't we just supposed to pick our favorite from your list? *grin*

My favorite would have to be Caedmons Call...even though Chris Tomlin led a great night of worship.

  7. It's ok... we'll just blame it on Heather who set the bad example and never follows the rules anyway.

I like seeing your personal lists, though- good job guys.

  9. Chris Tomlin is cool. Fernando Ortega is probably my favorite. Jars of Clay...that group is very special to me because I knew Matt Odmark when he was a kid...growing up in Rochester, NY. Never imagined he would grow up to be famous someday. I also knew Charlie Lowell's dad. He's a dentist in Rochester. My claim to fame. (now you can all ooh and ah over me. lol!)

Thank you for commenting on my little girl's blog entry. She was quite pleased.

  10. Wow, that's so cool that you knew Matt Odmark! I like Jars of Clay, too. They almost made the list and really they should have been there- it was just so hard to pick 10 and still keep variety.

Thanks to everyone for your input.

  11. Yeah. It's still weird to think of him being in a famous rock band. He was really just a normal kid I knew. He was one of the club kids when I was Young Life leader. I remember that he was a kid who took his faith very seriously. I wonder if he would even remember me.
